Quote: 2025 American Liberty Silver Medal [ 25DB ] Beautiful medal, cptbilly. It reminds me of the demonetized Dutch 50 Gulden banknote of 1982.

USM Bronze version of Congressional Gold Medal awarded to the Wright Brothers in 1909. Please see the Commems Collection write up for details : https://goccf.com/t/470157 and a better restrike rendition of the reverse. I think the Mint pushed the reverse die on mine well-past its lifespan. This example is 3.25" x 2.25 x 3/16" and weighs 5.85 oz. Other medal portraiture of the famous pair can be found in the Presidential Art Medals Statehood Series: and in this conjoined profile example from the Hall of Fame for Great Americans at NYU Series: The two medals directly above were struck by the Medallic Art Company.

How did the whole month of October pass by without any new entries into this forum?
Here's one from colonial Australia that I posted a few days ago in an Oz-related forum here at CCF hoping to get some confirmation on my tentative attribution. No responses yet.
This is the 1852 halfpenny token struck for the Sydney Tea Stores in New South Wales, founded in 1835 by Sam Peek and others. Several varieties of penny and halfpenny coppers were struck for this business, and all are very rare and expensive in higher grades -- meaning VF and above.
Grading is a challenge with these, as crude, mushy dies were used extensively, and they obviously circulated almost to the point of obliteration. Moreover, as reported by Museums Victoria, the halfpennies were "...produced initially from blanks sawn laboriously from copper rods...A crude drop hammer arrangement, replaced by a crude press, were used to strike the blanks with indifferent results." (Mine would probably net out at gVG, or maybe F.)
I've got this specimen tentatively attributed as Renniks 545, Andrews 429, and KM Tn191.3, but second opinions are sought and welcome!
