I have one as well. Definitely not MS but I am happy with it. NGC graded it VF30 and it received the CAC green bean.

Quote: I have one, I considered it a common coin. Costly, but common. Interesting quip. It's a low-mintage common coin. Rare but easy to get. (?)

Nice looking examples, everyone. Barryg, you look a little crowded there. You might need to move one of those cents to the Jbuck Annex.

Quote: Interesting quip. It's a low-mintage common coin. Rare but easy to get. (?) It's low mintage for a Lincoln Cent, it's costly, but other than that yes it's easy to get. If you want one you have the money you'll have no trouble finding one. Most every coin shop will have one small coin shows will have several large coin shows will have dozens, and right now on ebay are 872 of them. Yes I'd say it's common. You get into collecting 19th century coinage you quickly come to realize that a coin with a mintage of the 1909 S VDB actually has a rather high mintage. One of the sets I put together was Seated half dimes the easiest of the seated coin series, something like half the coins in the set have lower mintages than the SVDB. Many are much lower.

I imagine the reason the SVDB is so easy to get is that many were saved simply because it was a first-year issue, and people hoarded them as souvenirs (not because of the low mintage).

Beautiful pictures~! I "had" one but sold my entire Lincoln album. I would like to replace a few of my Lincolns someday down the road. This being the most wanted.

Not quite crowded enough to donate yet, sorry. On a more serious note, the reason I have both is because one lives in my Dansco 8100 Lincoln Cent album and the other I keep with my "special" coins.

Mine is EF Details (corroded) from ANACS. Poor Abe looks pretty beat down, but he lives like a king in a box at the bank:
