David, I think I would agree with you. Coaster seems to have made it his mission now to find that coin.

... I have a sneaky suspicion however that Coaster will deem it to be cheating.

When in a hurry I quickly noodle my $1 coins for letters and other shiny commemoratives. I then go through the remainder at a later time to hunt for mules, privy marks and other goodies before returning them to circulation. Had about 1200 coins waiting to go back to the bank. Pulled about 10 privy coins and this little gem that I saved from going back into the mill.

I grabbed a few rolls of 20s the other day because I had run the machine out of $1 rolls. Some nice little finds. The 2011 International Women's Day was a newbie and a keeper. Looking at the mintage I was surprised. 6 million yet this is the first I have found. Still not sure why people (except Accountants) would want to celebrate 100 years of the ATO. Would have been a no-go if the design was put to the public.
2017 Anzacs Medal 20c - already have a carded copy but still love finding NCLT coins. Will keep that one for trades.
Of course, no 20c noodle would be complete without a Kiwi ring-in. Did I read somewhere that the Oz govt. was planning on deporting all the Kiwi coins back to where they came from in the same way they send back Kiwi transgressors of the Law?

A 500 dollar coin noodle. Lots of shiny aUNC coins for keepers and later trade. What really annoys me is the 2003 Making a Difference coin. It was a relatively low mintage (4 million) and a coin I don't noodle very often. The ones I do noodle are always pretty banged up so I bit the bullet and purchased 2x UNC last week (not that cheap). What do I noodle? A near UNC coin. I reckon, if you want to noodle a particular coin, go and buy it first, and guaranteed you will then noodle it.
The Letter W was one I needed so still chasing V, Y and X.
Of coarse, the CBA chucked it's usual rotten potato into the bag of spuds.

Still no 2020 JC Effigy.

Maybe coaster should just buy an "A" so one shows up in his search next week.

With school ending tomorrow I thought I might hit the tuckshop till one last time for 2020. Glad I did.
- A bag of UNC 2020 20c JC effigy
- a red olympics $2 (missing from my collection)
- a 2020 5c JC effigy.
- a nice aUNC 1939-1945 remembrance 50c piece (mine is pretty ratty).
