Silver loons are so nice. Congrats on the new one for your album. I've been known to crack sets, but the proof ones are left alone.

Thanks Lewy! I agree there although this one was marked silver from the seller but I don't believe it truly is. From my research it looks like bronze plated nickel. In any case I love these proof loons!

Put a magnet to that 2001 loonie and you'll see that its not silver. Very nice proof loonie though!

I missed the silver being mislabeled for the year. Silver proof loons showed up in 2012. I was scratching my head over the handwriting on the 2X2. Just think I've seen it before. Had to check all the ones I got at the show last weekend, and none matched, but I swear, I know that writing.  "We are poor little lambs...who have lost our way...Baa...Baa...Baa"

I had some fun with my loons this week.  . Beat the guessers on 20 Q's with this one.  .  Then tried this one, but Oz got it.  .  That gold plated one is so nice in hand, but the toning on these 5 is really nice too. This is the best shot I could get. All 5 are similar and beautiful.  I need another reset on the pic count to post the 5 coin sleeve.  Tomorrow. Here we go.  "We are poor little lambs...who have lost our way...Baa...Baa...Baa"
