Born in 2026 Loonie Or should I say, Goosie, or Storkie. It's wearing a ball cap. I love these loonies.

Very nice Don. Keeping with the bird theme, I hope that is a Jays hat.

Goosie it is Don. This years theme. Quote: Designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco, the $1 coin in the 2026 Baby Gift Card Set puts a Canadian spin on the classic image of a baby-delivering stork, by featuring a Canada goose and gosling instead. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
The birthday set is another goosie. Quote: Designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco, the $1 coin in the 2026 Birthday Gift Card Set strikes a fun, celebratory tone with its image of a gaggle of Canada geese (an adult and two goslings) wearing party hats and gathered around a birthday cake, as confetti falls around them. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
Tony had a plan. I like them. This is the O'Canada set goosie. Quote: Look up at the sky—designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco, the $1 coin in the 2026 O Canada Gift Card Set features a patriotic flyby backed by a maple leaf, with five Canada geese positioned in the flying V-formation that is a familiar sight in our skies each spring and fall, during the species' migratory flights. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.

Today I got a looney in change, really fresh 2024. It is noticeably smaller than original Loonies from 1986. Looked up the weights and they are. Original Loonie was 7 grams. Now 6.27 grams. Thinner. Size reduction first in 2013.
