With nothing to lose, I dipped it after buying it using the 50/50/3 method: 1/2 dip, 1/2 distilled water, 3 seconds, then rinse with acetone and distilled water. It's actually cleared up a bit more in the last year or so while sitting in an album. There's a bit of luster left.
