Well I couldn't let this one pass me by! Beards you said?... It's a 1788 Parys Mines Penny Token engraved by Dumarest and struck by Matthew Boulton. The edge inscription reads ON DEMAND IN LONDON LIVERPOOL OR ANGLESEY •X• It's copper, weighs 27.3G rams and measures 33.5mm. A 19th century critic said " That's not a beard, it's a waterfall."
