Well it's time to get the popcorn ready!

A little house cleaning first, there has been some debate on if these should even be considered an Error or not.
Dr. Frederick Bart has put an end to any question here.
Thru a recent correspondence with him on these pairs he states they "Should be classified as Production Errors with Duplicate Serial Numbers" and that he "Intends to identify these as such, in the 5th Edition of United States Paper Money Errors"
So that question is put to bed!
As all of you who have been following this from the very beginning know, this has been a true passion to find these matched pairs before they are gone from circulation. Our friend here, SteveInTampa, is the one who introduced me to this project, and a fantastic group of collectors whose passion for for this project spilled over and ignited me as well. This has always been about the success of the project and never about the money.
Now we've really re-focused our efforts to finding a match from the elusive first run of only 250k notes.
Even though this was never being done for the money, that question just never seems to go away. How much is one of these pairs worth? This is a rare error to begin with. And the actual odds of finding two matching serial numbers on two 1 dollar bills that have been out circulating in the world for years, is incalculable, although some have given it a valiant try.
So again, what is it worth? The speculation varies widely because a pair has never been sold. None of the owners want to part with such a special collectible, they are very personal to us.
As you know, there have been 7 actual matched pairs, brought together, and graded, and kept by 6 individual owners. The other 3 reported matched pairs, are still separated by individual owners.
The big news is, one pair is going up for Auction at this years
