Badthad I don't save any AU/BU's that are in the 200X range. If I did, I would have 100 rolls of 2007 and 2008s. I have also noticed that I tend to "undergrade" coins. I do find shiny 70s and 80s, but there is always some sort of mark, scratch, spot or other defacing malformation on the coin. I have been going over to the grading section and I tend to grade the coins 10-20 under what everyone else grades them. Still being new, I know I have a lot to learn about grading coins. But I would rather error on the downside than the upside, especially when buying.
But this does bring up another question. When you "Roll Hunt", what all are you looking for? I look for 1. wheats, 2. copper 3. Zinc. I check for wide AMs, and any reds that I need for my Dansco. What else should I be looking for? I know the 1955 Double Dies, small dates/large dates, etc... But is there something else I should be on the look out for?
Thanks!

What I look for: 1) copper 2) high quality zinc BU's, 1990 and up I'm very picky about, for 1980's I'm not as picky because they are tough 3) WAM's, CAM's and the major doubled dies 4) Wheats 5) Red AU/BU coppers, must be pretty nice or it goes in the general copper pile 6) anything that interests me, toning, grease-filled dies, etc.

Today, I got a Mint Box of cents from Pine River Valley Bank and a Bank Box from First National Bank of Durango. Will be interesting to see which box has the most "goodies" in it!

From what was posted here by the experts, there's no 1992 CAM, just a 1992D CAM.

In the 1999 Red Book, it shows the following as premium (recent cents): 1970S Small Date (worth $65 in MS-65) 1972P Dbl Die Obverse 1983p Dbl die reverse 1984P doubled ear 1992D Close AM1995 Dbl die obverse 1999P Wide AM2000P Wide AM. The last one is only worth $5.00, so it's should be available more than others.

Had a box with $10 plastic and the rest hand rolled. (3) 1970-S 1968-S 1929-S in VG-F (I believe) 7 other wheats 16 Canadian, including 2 1946 and 2 1967 (first ever for that date). 2000 Wide AM$5.19 in copper Still have to look through more piles, but that's the most of it.

That list + 1998P WAM are the coins I'm typically looking for. Finding a 1970S in ANY condition is rare....they are tough in ciculation.

Just found 253 copper cents in 7 rolls (350 cents total. a 72% copper hit rate- absolutely stellar), along with 7 Canadian cents. Funny thing is, almost EVERY copper cent was from the years 1959 to 1964. Even the Canadian cents were dated 1957, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1964, 1965 (and 1987. the oddball.) I have no idea how to explain this, but I'm not complaining- I struck rich with copper! Probably the strangest thing is that I didn't find a SINGLE wheatie out of those 7 rolls, even though almost all of the copper memorial cents found were made no greater than 5 years after the Wheat cent stopped production. Odd.
