Nice €500 note

A few days ago, I actually saw one in the wild. I hadn't seen one there for at least five years. It was at a huge hardware store. I was waiting at the central help desk/central cashier point when a cashier from a ''regular'' check-out line came. A customer wanted to pay with a €500 note. But the cashier didn't have enough return money in his till. The lady at the help desk put the €500 in one of those machines that check if the note is genuine or not. It was. Then, she put it in the central till -- faster than you can say ''Hello.'' She gave the cashier ten €50 notes in return.

Interesting story! Sounds like they had an easier time with that €500 than I usually have with at US$100.
