Quote: Just added a raw 1905-S. Always exciting when I find a nice raw Barber Half. Fantastic!

Eric, I'm envious. I'm struggling just to gather AG, G, VG coins for my set. You are my hero!

Quote: I'm struggling just to gather AG, G, VG coins for my set I appreciate it! Barber Half's are deceivingly difficult to find choice examples of. The keys are even harder. I am over a year into putting together this set, and have yet to have seen a choice 1893-S or 1892-S for sale in F-VF. Wishing you the best in your set! I have a few more additions that I am hoping to get photographed in the week to add

Wow! My compliments on building such an nice set of F/VF Barber halves. The eye appeal of the collection is simply outstanding for the grade. I once attempted a set of Barber dimes in Fine/VF. "Book value" for Fine and better Barber coins does not remotely reflect just how elusive they are to acquire in problem-free condition. Finding well-struck O-mint dimes was (and is) a real chore. What you've already accomplished with your collection is no mean feat!

Eric, your latest two are very nice! I've been following along watching your progress. Very admirable!

I think I've mentioned this before, but your 1903-O (on the right) is the old reverse hub. The spacing of BUS, the shape of S, and the distance of S to the beak changed in 1901. The banner end also went from straight to slightly angled. SF and New Orleans sporadically used the old reverse through 1905. Just an obscure little tidbit.
