I like the African notes from the French Colonial period for the artistry - here is one of the same era as many that were posted in this thread but from and island north of South America in the Caribbean. Martinique P32 (1947-49) - I call it VG.

+1 I've seen those graded go for a pretty penny. As I wrote earlier, any Italian __, French ___, German __ or British ___ former colony gets a lot of attention. Lots of collectors out there want an old classic note with the image of a leopard on it so the 5 Somali is a tough yet big hit.
