I picked up this token from a vending machine at the Gaudi Museum when my son and I went to Spain in 2022 . It was a great trip with lots of tapas and beer (since we walked everywhere).
He arranged the trip which included lots of stops to look at some fantastic architecture by Antoni Gaudi.
(Gaudi designed the Sagrada Familia, a huge church, which has been under construction since the 1880's!! Do an online search to get an idea of the scale and complexity of it.)
Gaudi didn't like right angle/corners and used a lot of ceramic tile for his wall finishes and Spanish cedar for trim and moldings.
I ended up incorporating two tokens into a worked piece of re-purposed cedar to commemorate the trip. The piece I made was similar in size, shape, and material to a newel post that Gaudi created for a home. The newel post curved into a handrail for the stairs.
Sorry for the winded back story but I it's fun, for me anyways, to reminisce.
