Hungary Denar 1530 for me--with a chipped edge that makes this coin less round:

1529 Polish grosz. Traditional crown/eagle design (no more portraits for me).

I've got a coin for today with a crown on one side and an eagle on the other, but mine's also got a big ol' letter S too (1529 Prussia Solidus):

Quote: I've got a coin for today with a crown on one side and an eagle on the other, but mine's also got a big ol' letter S Not to mention the eagle is armed I've got that combative eagle on the same type for 1528: If I'm not mistaken, this is the earliest date on coins from the Torun mint.

1526 was the first year for the Polish groschen/grosz that giljan and I have been showing. This one's not as nice as the last two he posted. I expect tomorrow we will begin 2 1/2 weeks of Lithuanian half groats.
