Re: the 250 2.5 oz "quarters"
Once they get slabbed, I suspect Stacks-Bowers will auction them off. . .the edge marked numbering will goose the prices a bit too. . .further proof the USM is plowing ahead with producing intentional rarities for the high-end marketplace.

Quote: Supposedly, a full roll of them can be yours for the bargain price of "only" $18,000 opening bid. If you happen to be in a big hurry you can BIN for just $26,000! 137476022274(Check that BIN price.. he just bumped it up to $28k!) Looks like this guy had no action at 18K$, 28K$ or whatever he posted this "supposedly full roll" of privy quarters at this past week. Looks like he decided to finally open up the roll and found "only" 15 of the coins had the privy. Humm. now it's down below 8K$. Be careful buying "full" rolls of these things! Things may not be exactly as advertised!

Remember the W quarters? Here's a link that mentioned the drop points, which would be the same for these new privy quarters (second post by BigKingdom, CoinWorld article) https://goccf.com/t/347301Someone mentioned Quote: There's another seller from West Jefferson, NC Check the map and see how far away from a drop point. All others if you're quite a distance away from a drop point might be awhile before These Jefferson quarters show up in your area. Good luck with the hunt.

The free market is doing its thing. BINs are in the 400s now. Expect raws to settle in the 100s once all the nice ones are slabbed.
Meanwhile, I have yet to see a single coin turn up in Florida. That drop site listing is definitely more places than we're seeing for these. It seems that several FRBs either haven't let theirs out yet or didn't get any.
(Edit: 1 quarter turned up yesterday in Starke, FL)

I just got 2 boxes of quarters, but they are both circulated boxes, Loomis, and they were completely sealed with no holes on top, so no way to tell. The first box had two Ws (both Lowell). I haven't started the 2nd box yet. Strangely, the first box was stamped June 5, 2025 and yet, there were some 2026 P Mayflower quarters in the box.
My take: I think many of these July 4 quarters will slip into circulation, like the Ws. Your best chance to snag one of these for face value is by searching circulated quarter boxes in the next 6-18 months, before newer coins dilute them further, and roll hunters slowly pluck these from circulation.
Given the obvious non-random distribution (815 in one box from RobFindsTreasure, near Philly area), I think many smaller cities will not even see any in Declaration of Independence unirculated rolls. If these were all distributed in this uneven way, then just 300-310 boxes of uncirculatred Declaration of Independence quarters contain the July 4 privy. Not enough boxes to go around. Wait for circulated boxes in the next 6-18 months is my suggestion.
I wish to point out that the S business strikes from 2012 to 2025 for the quarters (not proofs or silver proofs) have exceptionally low mintages (many are well under 1 million), especially the Women series, and yet these are not pricy at all.

Some of the July 4th quarters listed on ebay and when and what they sold for. Price includes shipping. I realize that better looking coins will bring more money, but some of the pictures were of very poor quality. July 7 469.95 July 7 491.70 July 7 535.95 July 7 514.95 July 7 414.17 July 7 524.95 July 8 620.00 July 8 615.24
