Finally got three of the coins today that I ordered from ebay. The 1901 is a really beautiful coin. These coins are so nice in XF grade, especially when there is little to no corrosion. Reverse 1903 - an upgrade The one I already had is on the left, the "upgrade" on the right. What do we think? Is it better? 1911 - One that I didn't have yet. Not too bad. The reverse of all three new coins So far, these two are the nicest looking ones I have IMO The 1889 coin that I ordered and received recently.. I really wasn't happy with the quality of it compared to the price I paid for it, so I opted for a return. I found that I could probably find a similar graded one for cheaper.

Nice V nickels! The 1903 V nickel on the right looks a little better than the one on the left.

Thanks, guys! Yeah, I thought the newer one looked a tad better. Do any of these coins look cleaned at all? Someone told me they looked like they were. They don't look like it to me. I also got the new binder recently. Pretty bland, I know. Lol. This is basically the exact same as the official Dansco album, just without any of the labeled ports, or any labels at all. I'm thinking about trying to make some kind of front label. Just not sure how to go about it yet. If I could find some kind of high quality digital scan of the real album cover, I could print that and use it. Lol. They have had a ton of Dansco Liberty nickel albums pop up on ebay recently. But, they are all 50+ dollars. This empty binder cost me 20 bucks. So, I think I'll go this way lol

IMO, for any upgrades, I would suggest you take your time and look for upgrades that are several numerical grades higher. While the obverse of the 1903 on the right looks nicer, to me both look like the same numerical grade. Not much point in that unless one is clearly a details coin and the other is not.

I'm still doing this on a budget and I'm looking for visually eye appealing coins that seem to be in F, VF and XF grades. I would think that most G/VG specimens are probably well worn.

Thanks, scorpu.
I've been eying up an 1883 with cents. Not sure why these are so expensive, considering their mintage is higher than that of the "no cents," issued coin.

Quote: This is basically the exact same as the official Dansco album, just without any of the labeled ports, or any labels at all. As I seem to constantly remind everyone, I am very familiar with blank Dansco binders and pages. But thank you for posting your photos to show them off. Looking good! Quote: I'm thinking about trying to make some kind of front label. Just not sure how to go about it yet. As you may recall, I have yet to label anything, so cannot offer any ideas. That being said, if/when you find something, I will be interested to see how it turns out!

Yeah, I like this method! I mean, it would have cost a bit more if I would have had to buy the pages. But, I already had them on hand. In the future, for any Dansco album that I need, if it's not feasible to purchase a regular one with all the labels and such, I will look to blank albums and pages. I found this online, and it looks pretty good if I could figure out someway to implement it.

There was someone who once mentioned using rub-off gold script lettering from an arts & Crafts shop. I am trying to find that topic.
