. Looks like ttkoo and I are on a roll. He missed round 1 in NS's contest, then won the last round. I missed the 1st here and now back in it. I won jomic's 1st contest recently and wished for a win streak. Ta-da. Just wish NS's contest was wrapping up within a week. Otherwise, I'll have used up all my loonie luck. I don't play the lottery often, will tomorrow.

Congratulations to loonie for the Round win! You are indeed on a winning streak. And you have a new 3-week old grandchild for entertainment. Life seems good for the loonie family. I'm happy for you. For me - my guessing remains terrible ..... but on the bright side I did not under guess this time.

I was wondering who was going to win this round My local LCS had five 1909-S-VDB cents in stock when I bought this, and this one was a surprise in several regards: First it was an undergrade from PCGS at an XF-45, but methinks it is closer to an AU-55, so worthy of a resubmit later on... Second, this was the second highest grade that my local LCS had, as the highest graded one was a PCGS 63 (I believe I saw that listed at $2,550 )... Third, I got a $95 dollar discount from their original list price of $1,495... Fourth, the original PCGS holder was the slab type used from 2005-2011, so was graded quite a while ago, so this was by and far the best bang for my (trade-ins) buck! So a no brainer for a perfect completion coin for my Wheat cents!
