From Burma: This little 1 Kyat P-46:  I would like to pick up more of these older notes from Burma as they're large & very old-school, colonial classically designed notes. Very under-rated IMO. From the Philippines: This 1 Peso P-142b which seemed elusive to get in UNC for a while, finally became available:  & from Tonga: P-19c is the most accessible version in UNC:  (Now all I will need are the 1/2 Pa'anga ( easy) & the 5 Pa'anga (tougher & likely expensive)) |

This 1000 pesos from Argentina is a Series B P-274c (seller's image):  This next note is from Papua New Guinea. It is P-14g a 5 Kina. Not sure why but the 5 Kina is a much tougher denomination to source than either the 2, 10 or higher for PNG. Must have been a "workhorse" note & many were too circulated to keep.  The last note should line me up well for tomorrow "How Far can we go...?" thread. It is a P-27 100 Dinara from Yugoslavia:   Although it is large format & has the French feel for design, it is fairly common & inexpensive. |

Hyper-inflation, my selections for the thread...  hard to imagine wheelbarrows of cash were needed to buy a loaf of bread...so I hear. 20,000 marks   5 marks, I really like the cameo on this note   500,000,000 marks  |

I see numbers like "P101" or "P1a" on some descriptions of the note. What does it mean?
