It was thought to take a dive at the end of May and start to rebound a few weeks later. Looks like the scenerio played out a couple weeks late but I think, its on the upswing again.

Yes, jdheyne, that is true. Also, crystalk and dgoose50 are right on with their analogies.

It's a wait and see what Bernake does (again). He's raised the Prime several times already (since taking office) and that has put the markets into a tizzie.

Internet trading has had a great effect on the markets rapid increases and declines also. (Easier to trade and quicker reponse to buy and sell).
