Okay, my third bag of $500 in dimes.

1 1964D
1 1949D
1 Canadian 2002.

That's 9 silver in three bags. Having fun, it's enough to keep me going.

Wow, I finally found one! After around 30 rolls searched, I found a 1960! I thought I was doing great until my wife found a 1953D in her change that evening! She is the one with all the luck!

I have a question: Do you guys have better luck with customer rolls or machine rolls when it comes to dimes?

both have about the same find rates for me
around 3 silver dimes per box of $250
Unless I were to score a full roll of silver or something a customer dropped off (which hasn't happened) they are the same luck wise for me

Machine rolled, or cwr, for me average the same.
Cwr's give the greater chance of solid silver.
I've never found a solid silver roll, the best had 27 in it. That's from more than 3 years searching over $100,000 worth of dimes.

As I was going out of the bank the brinks arrived on the door and my teller called and asked me if I want wait 5 minutes so I could trade the dimes for my halves boxes lol ?! I said is ok ! I searched $170 is cwr today and didn't come up with any U.S. silver but I did find some Canadian silver. I usually find about one Canadian dime per box as I live in the south so I was pretty surprised that the one I found was 55 years old.
