I went to a dairy bar and bought a small batch of their chocolate chip ice cream. I paid with a $20 bill and in change, I received a Series 1969C $10 bill along with two modern $1 bills. The bill is in decent shape for being in circulation for over 40 years.

I went to a coin show last week and sold some items. The dealer paid me with a stack of small portrait 20s and 50s. They weren't too old - from the 80s and 90s - but it was nice to have so many in hand! He said that he got them in a stack earlier that day. A guy bought a bunch of bullion from him and paid all cash - in small portrait bills. So they're still out there mostly in private hands and getting harder and harder to find.

Printed in early 1993, some 26 years ago, this small-head Franklin saw an extended vacation from circulation. Poorly centered and sporting teller stamp marks, back into circulation in she goes.

Got this a few years back at a state fair. Was buying some lemonade when I received it in change, my first and so far only time seeing a >$2 small portrait note in circulation. Granted it's only from '95 but still a keeper to me.

Hey BrandaBob you are incorrect. Quote: Granted it's only from '95 but still a keeper to me. The year on the bill has nothing to do with when it was printed. Based on the serial number it was printed in September 1999.

I noticed a thread over on the Collectors Universe forum (PCGS) that featured a $2 note received as a tip. Solid 1's on a $2 Dallas (11) note with an H11 front plate number. I tried desperately to buy it, with no luck.
