Quote: Found some cool lightly circulated 1988A, 1988 and 1977 notes in my ATM $1 searches. I was kind of shocked to see these still in circulation and in the ATM!! Over 90% of ATMs around here only dispense 20s. The others will dispense 10s and 20s. I have never in my life heard of or seen an ATM that dispensed 1s.

I have an envelope full of old bills from that job.. that was the best part of the day, getting to look through tons of notes every week at the register.. Will post a few more when I get the chance :-)

The Series 1934-D $10 notes were issued between 1949 and 1953.

Majority of the Chase ATM has $1, $5, $20, $50 and $100. Kind of weird that it doesn't have $10. If you come and visit NYC one day, make sure you go into a Chase ATM machine to check it out. All my searches and finds are from ATM's now. NO LINES NO WAITING!!!!!

do you make repeated $4 withdrawals, or can you request, say, 20 1s?

A fairly recent 1969-C $100 circulation find.. not super old but in pretty good shape considering it's been out there so long

Ironically, got this as change from a coin shop.

Coin shops often give out notes in change that they know realistically they're unlikely to sell at a profit. These often come from batch purchases. Our LCS has given our common circulated $1 Silver Certificates in change for as long as I can remember.

Many years ago, when my wife was a bank teller, someone walked in to deposit a large amount of $1 and $5 silver certificates, federal reserve notes and US notes. She called me and asked if I wanted any. We were just starting out at the time so I sad yes, $100 worth. I wish I had gotten more. Here are some of the $5 bills.
