What Key Date Coin Would You All Suggest I Buy?

The 1893-O Morgan is also a great affordable key date coin; $100-$200 for a nice VF

Johnson - I have a couple of other suggestions, if you don't mind.

If I had $120 burning a hole in your pocket for numismatic "investment", I's consider

1) 1938-D Walking Half,

2) Fugio Copper

3) 1794 or 1795 Large Cent

4) 1910-D Dime

Why 1 - I think you can get a '38 D in good to fine if you look hard enough, and it's a key date of my favorite series.

Why 2 - They're awesome. Prices are all over the board and you should be able, with enough searching, to snag a decent one with ag-g and reasonable surfaces for $120. That's a REALLY neat piece of history, even though they weren't popular in their day.

Why 3 - Again, awesome history, and you should be able to get a decent one with nice surfaces (though not a lot showing in devices) for $120. Minted whilst Washington was still president! I don't know why these early cents can be had for so little, but especially if you're a penny person, you need one in your collection!

Why 4 - it's exactly 100 years old, not a "key" date, but a semi-key for the series and they have a lot of history in these used grades. Working men used dimes to buy real things when these were out - like a haircut or bread and milk, flowers for the wife or girlfreind - and you can still get a pretty nice one for $120!
