2014 Bobcat $20 for $20 Silver Coin

Design: The front side of the coin takes its viewers for an adventurous romp through the snowy wilderness as it follows the Canadian bobcat through its native woodland habitat. From the short strokes used convey its plush tufts of fur to the soft rolling lines that illustrate the newly fallen snow, great lengths have been taken to meticulously recreate the details of both this feral feline and its wintry residence. Collectors will also appreciate the dynamic angle of the bobcat, which makes the wild predator appear as though it’s ready to pounce straight off the front of the coin. The reverse side of the coin returns us to civilization with an uncanny depiction of HRM Queen Elizabeth II as a tribute to Canada’s previous status as a British Colony.
