2014 Summertime $20 for $20 Silver Coin

Design: Featured on the front of the coin is a young boy playfully leaping off a wooden dock before splashing into the rippling Canadian waters. In the distance, trees and boulders hint at the forested terrain that lies just beyond the horizon. From the flailing arms of the excited boy to the densely textured woods and hills of the backdrop, both the subject and the setting of this front image attempt to recapture that long lost sense of adventure we experienced as children. Equally as nostalgic is the reverse side of the coin which depicts Queen Elizabeth II and alludes to Canada’s earlier years as a British colony.
