Markup % = 100 * profit / cost

There was a Canadian loonie I reported a few days back listed the same as these, priced to sell and advertised as actual gold coins. Sellers all have 1 review and 0-1 sales. Looks like they pop up as fast as they go down.

There's nothing *technically* wrong with the listing to report since they are gold colored.

Even though they list the coins composition as gold?

I have called up ebay before and talked to them about losing credibility as online selling for not policing some of these sellers. They are ruining the collecting hobby and I feel sorry for people who are not up to par on the collecting side. For sale rare 1972 Lincoln Cent with no mint mark. One left in my collection $1,200 rare. Come on! I know buyers beware. But still they should have a few guide lines on selling.

ebay don't care, its all more success fees to them.

Reasons why I avoid it like the plague or Covid 19.

the mark up is 300% not 100.

What I meant is it is understandable for someone to sell a 2011 Sacagawea dollar for as much as $3 but not $300.

someone got it? Darn, I missed it. The Native American coin being mistakenly stamped on a gold planchet would have been very valuable.

I wasn't an error coin, it was just a regular dollar labeled as a gold coin.

I find it very amusing to look through ebay and Etsy to see what "rare coins" people listed for a million dollars. Thanks for posting, T-BOP.
