Wow- Just Wow!! The beautiful box arrived late yesterday, and it is even more beautiful in person, if that is possible. The purple wood strips really pop and go beautifully with the sugar maple and the cherry. The size is perfect for her bracelets and the hinged cover keeps everything together. No fingers getting a chance to drop the lid. Thanks again so much for the time and effort in putting this contest with exquisite handmade prizes. They truly are beautifully made pieces of art. ps. Congratulations to the rest of the prize winners.   (The Bicentennial Proof set holder is for scale only. It wasn't a surprise bonus.)  Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Please to see that your prize arrived safely @Petes. I call the small cards 'species cards'. As you can see they give the common name, scientific name, region of growth and a few sentences that summarize the woods attributes. If you flip the box over you'll find my provenance information on the bottom. Cherry, figured maple and purpleheart are my all time favorite wood color combination. I'm pleased it suits your eye as well. Quote:

How about showing a general photo of how/where the clock is used in your house? Completely optional of course. I hope all of us are around for my 20K post contest - then perhaps either you or Keith can claim collector status with a 2nd David handmade creation.
