How Do You Feel This 1880 CC Morgan Should Grade?

I believe it may be. When I click to view the full-size images, the reflections are quite clear.

CoinforMe - the reflection is absolutely not from the holder, the fields are ice skating mirrors my friend.

CoinForMe - fair enough, I don't really understand how the holder come into play as it's no different than a slabbed PL morgan or DMPL morgan. When you look at my coin with your eyes in hand, you can absolutely see that the fields are reflective to a great amount when holding another GSA in hand. Also, compared to a raw or other slabbed coin in natural light or any light this coin is reflective.
I believe it's at least PL, but leaning towards DMPL when sitting it next to one of my other DMPL coins.

A couple of observations based on the new photos. I do think the coin is at least PL, and there's certainly a possibility it could be DMPL. As FC mentioned, though, that's one of those characteristics that's really best confirmed with the coin in hand.

You're also correct that field marks are expected on PL coins. The question is simply how many, and how severe, they are before they begin to influence the assigned grade. Looking at the reverse, I agree that many of the lines appear to be die polish rather than contact marks. The areas that caught my attention were the scuffs in front of Liberty's forehead and mouth, along with the marks in the field beneath UNUM. To my eye, those are just a little more noticeable than I'd expect if the coin were to receive a higher grade.

On a separate note, I'd like to offer a general thought about posting coins for opinions. One of the strengths of this forum is having collectors with a wide range of experience looking at the same coin. Grading is inherently subjective, so it's natural for members to reach different conclusions. Everyone is simply offering their best assessment based on the photographs and their own experience.

Since you have the advantage of viewing the coin in hand, you'll always be able to see details that photos may not capture. That's one reason opinions based on images don't always match what the owner observes in person.

It's perfectly fine to disagree with an opinion, healthy discussion is part of what makes the forum enjoyable. Sometimes the most productive approach is to consider each viewpoint, take what you find useful, and recognize that not every assessment has to align with your own. We all evaluate coins a little differently, and that's one of the things that makes these discussions both educational and interesting.

CoinForMe - There is a very faint "Notes" reflection in green in the picture you have reshared for me.. I can see it, because I took the photo - though it is blurry. So, yes there should be a reflection... and yes, there is one but very faint. Look directly in front of the Liberties face and you will see it.
