Thank you for the responses. I've never sent in a coin for grading before. Both ICCS and PCGS have been recommended here. Is there any reason why one may be preferable over another for a coin like this? Also, once it's graded, what would be the best way to get the most value out of it? An auction house? Coin shop? ebay? I'm just a novice collector and don't really know how to handle a valuable coin.

Why are you holding your coin like this?
You realize when you know how to think, it empowers you far beyond those who know only what to think.

If it grades nicely in a PCGS slab try to have it in Heritage Fun maybe Platinum Auction, not their regular montly auctions there simply much more eyeballs at their winter Fun auction and you will be paid in US bucks, this is where you will get the biggest price if you ask a dealer they might offer 3 to 4

Try to get this coin graded and into Heritage Fun Platinum night sale, this sale has the most eyeballs and usually get best price. Do not let them put it in a random monthly auction you will be really dissapointed, plus you will be paid US dollars. This coin belongs in a PGCS holder it will bring max value, just a guess a dealer will offer 3to4K Good luck!

Awesome find, congratulations! Although I'd strongly recommend to stop holding coins like that. You're going to leave some pretty bad fingerprints doing that. You're don't want to leave fingerprints on coins, especially on a valuable coin. You need to either wear gloves or handle them by the edge only. Not trying to knock you down. I just want to let you know the proper way to handle coins.

WOWWWW what a nice find....I'd be giving that teller a giftcard to Starbucks. But don't tell him/her exactly what you found.

Congrats

Put the coin in a plastic coin flip or 2X2 use a fine Sharpie mark the Queen center and 6 oclock flip over and hopefully it is a 180
