So I am a newbie to all this but I have found myself reading and learning for hours and hours and find coins quite amazing. What do you think this will grade. When I grade Morgans the first thing I look at is how much detail is left in the hair on the forehead and the curls on the lower right of the obverse. On the Reverse, I look at the wear on the Eagles breast and the wingtips. If there is considerable detail missing from those areas it's probably a VF coin. In order for it to make an AU Grade some luster has to be present, I don't see any but it may just be the pic. I'm not thrilled with the way the denticles and rim look on the bottom of the reverse. I would throw this one on a scale just to be safe.. it should weigh right around 26.73 grams and NOT stick to a magnet. Edited by BlackRabbitCoins 02/07/2014 11:18 pm Report this Post to the Staff
