Monster Toned 1968-D Dime!

I thought it was funny.

I was looking through my Roosevelt album this evening after replying to the completed sets thread from earlier and I saw something that I can't quite figure out. My 1968-D has toned with the obverse having a blueish-green hue and the reverse having a darker tone around the outer perimeter. That is not what I put in my album. I have not seen this in any of my clad coins before. This coin does fall on a page with some silver coins and none of them have toned at all nor have any of the other clad coins on this page or anywhere else in the album for that matter. I have anti-corrosion pages at both ends of the album and it is stored in a slipcase on a bookshelf with other albums. My scanner does not pick up any of the tones, just a few of the darker spots. I am trying to get my camera set-up but I need to seek help on that forum. Here are some scans:





Has anyone else seen spontaneous clad toning like this? It is pretty cool. It is in the early stages of what arthrene's avatar looks like.
