Thinking it maybe a foreign substance (glue or other gunk) stuck on the surface of the coin. The 5, 7 and mint mark seem to be askew from some kind of contact mark. Thanks, Doug.

I've seen a few of these also. I thought maybe some kind of oxidation. I don't know a lot about chemistry or whether copper even oxidizes. Gunk theory sound good too. Looks like some flowed over the mintmark and half the 5 and 7 may look wider because they have gunk on them. Just a guess.

Weight of the coin might tell us more. The location of the lower leg of the 5 and the east side of the mint mark look moved.
