Came upon some handed down coins, so thought i'd give this forum a try. where can I find out the basics about coin grading? Are there multiple grading companies? joeysanders627 Valued Member United States 408 Posts	Posted 09/25/2016 04:44 am aboard. There is a wealth of information on this site. There are two popular grading companies. They are PCGS and NGC. ANACS is a trusted one as well, but not as popular. As far as grading goes, you can go to the PCGS website and they have some good videos. I would also recommend searching this site. I think I read that ANAC is the only one that doesn't require paying for a membership. I'm probably only going to want to grade 20-30 coins, one time.
