I am getting to the point where even with my LCS guy I tend to think the way he grades coins is arbitrary. Let the buyer beware. Unless you really have mucho experience in coin grading it is easy to miss something that may really hurt the value of the coin you are buying even if the dealer missed it also and is honest. If you are going to spend more than a few hundred dollars on a coin you might as well get one that is graded because they are usually not much more expensive than raw coins at least online. The 2.5 dollar Indian head is just about the only USA gold coin most collectors can ever hope to finish. Report this Post to the Staff
