Hey guys

As of 5:59 PM last night the only star notes I ever pulled out of my cash had been 1s and 5s.

I do part time weekend work for a newpaper in my area and they pay me in cash (shhhhhhhhh)

Anyway they paid me my usual 240 bucks. One of the 50s they gave me was a star note. The serial wasn't anything unique or unusual, but a 50 dollar star note!

Unfortunately I couldn't keep it because I'd rather have the 50 bucks right now.

Last night I went out of my way to spend it, so the temptation to hold it wasn't there.

That 50 dollar star note is now 3/4 of a tank of gas :(

Don't worry, higher denomination star notes do not increase in value as much as lower ones.

My father went to the bank in my hometown last year and actually got 10 $50 stars. They were 8 consecutive ser#, missing the next, then two more. They were all crisp. I have never seen that many in a row before.

I wish I knew if the one he was missing was a star or not.

Those were the only ones I have seen on the $50 bills.

That act of spending helps keep the rest of us always looking at our money for the next nice find. Thanks.
