1943 Steel Penny...just Old Age?

Keep in mind the Steel cents were struck with steel dies, causing the dies to wear out alot faster. Note the die wear on all the devices near the rim areas. (including the motto) At lease you have a nice original surface coin without rust. A lot of these coins are re-processed coins and sold as BU examples. But the BU is a first warning the surface is altered. Here is a side by side:

An altered surface to a true coin collector is not appreciated. The price on this one took a huge hit when it was plated.
