1950 French 20 Franc Counter Stamp - Coin Community Forum

swamperbob Pillar of the Community United States 5362 Posts	Posted 02/25/2020 11:43 pm As a bored teen, and even as a bored adult, I have marked thousands of US quarters with a Y punch to make the eagle look like he is wearing a necktie. I have never seen any returned to me in change and I have never seen one for sale as a countermarked coin. However, I would say that my ability to impress the stamp was at least as good as the WBW monogram seen here. Report this Post to the Staff
