2014 D Utah State Washington Quarter With A Big Bump

Dirtydaddy New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 05/31/2025 09:21 am I have a 2014 Utah d quarter with a big bump in it that goes through the word quarter that as far as I can tell is made into the coin. I know nothing about any of this stuff but do know it shouldn't have this tumor for lack of a better word. Can any one please help. * Edited by Staff to clarify the topic title. CreativeName Valued Member United States 65 Posts	Posted 05/31/2025 09:38 am Is there any corresponding metal loss/movement on the reverse? If it is standing up off of the coin on the obverse, it is possible that something heavy was on it on the reverse. Or maybe the coin was heated up and it bubbled up — that could also have caused the rest of the discoloration also. Just guessing from the picture. Report this Post to the Staff

Dirtydaddy New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 05/31/2025 09:45 am There is nothing on the reverse side which I thought I uploaded pics of. There is only the raised bubble on the face side. If it was from heat would there be any other marks or things to look for? Report this Post to the Staff
