What do you all think the "best" doubled dies are? This isn't in terms of price, but sort of cool looking-ness. I guess this is a lot based on severity, but several extreme doubled dies don't make the cut(ex. an 1872 DDR dime variety exists with a 175 degree rotation between hits) Here is my(terrible probably out of order) list: 1955 1C FS-101 1916 5C FS-101 1969-S 1C FS-101 1972 1C FS-101 1919 10C FS-101 1995 1C FS-101 1943-S 25C FS-101 1958 1C FS-101 And for DDRs: 1983 1C FS-801 1939 5C FS-801 Doubled Monticello 1982 1C FS-801 *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

The 1955 D Cent is one is the only that I would consider purchasing for my own collection as someone who only dabbles in US errors.

1935 5¢ DDR is a very strong doubled die. 1943-P 5¢ doubled eye is interesting. I personally like 1776-1976-D 25¢ DDO FS-101.

Out of the three you mentioned, I've only found like two or three of the 2019 1c WDDO-011. If you want the 2019 WDDO-011, let me know. I can mail you one for free of charge.

Quote:Other than the King of the 1c DDO's my favorites are 1963 25c FS-101 Well, if we are talking about Kings, I did luck up on a $30 purchase of an 1878 P Morgan dollar with horrible pics on the bay, but went ahead and bought it. Turns out it was the King of VAMs, and is still my avatar on the bay. it was in horrible condition and still got around $550 out of it, wish I had not sold it now, many years later....
