I found this near uncirculated 5 lire military note but I cannot find a catalog number for it. The difference is my note has a security thread.

I have searched on Google and every photo I can find lacks the thread.

Google also states the following:

Greysheet mentions the lack of a security thread, so possibly my note is a later print.

I asked ChatGPT in deep thinking mode to find a 5 lire note of its type, and it tells me I made an error as the notes did not have a security thread. It thinks I'm confusing a crease with a thread.

See photos below of the note. Can anyone with perhaps a paper copy of a catalog help? Thank you.

I think I may have had it backwards: this note is supposed to have a security thread, while the unusual variety is the one without it.

Still, it's very odd not finding any reference to a security thread, and having an LLM tell me I'm making a mistake by noticing it.

I was rather excited to find it as the condition is so good. I am accustomed to seeing military vouchers and certificates in very well used condition.

I have been looking for similar notes and usually use Numista as a reference. I was amazed by the link to Katz Auctions at the bottom of the page, where a note described as UNC sold for 196 Euros. They must have a very loose definition of what uncirculated is, as to me it looks like a low aUNC at best.
