Nice coin jprine ..... the Mayflower sailing on the rough seas of the Atlantic is IMHO one of the all-time classic US coinage images.

My comments on your coin ..... please accept them from a beginner still learning .....

It appears from the photos to be weakly struck on the reverse .... most well-struck coins I've encountered show full rigging in the sails. The deepest portion of the die for this coin is the stern of Mayflower ...... and that appears to be fully-struck in your photo ..... so perhaps I am just not seeing the rigging as a result of the ... uhhhmmm .... photographic skills?

I am concerned about the coin having been cleaned .... more likely dipped .... in the past.

Evidence of this is best seen in the obverse photo .... the fields are clean and bright whereby the spaces between "United" show an original surface much different than the fields.

I would give this a technical grade of MS-64 ..... and IMHO a TPG would return it to you as "Details-Cleaned".

I still say lovely coin .... and a great addition to any 7070.

Nice coin .. I have one of these in my 7070 also.

I can understand how hard it is to get the picture to show what the coin is really like. I think I can see how your coin still shows luster.
