Opinions On Supposed MS-67 Grade

Looks MS62 due to heavy marks on cheek and fields. Definitely return it if possible PCGS won't go higher than 63 and the chance exists for a disappointing grade like AU or 61

Definitely send it back. There ought to be a law! It also is a fairly common coin in MS 62-63 grades for a lot less money.

It was a no reserve bid style auction with a BIN of $4,800 and a starting bid of $465. Essentially, I was blindly thinking I found a "hidden gem". Thankfully, the folks here provided prompt, accurate insight and saved me before it was too late.

I can see how you got taken in with the coin. Especially by seeing that it was a "MS-67." Everyone says to buy slabbed coins and seeing that this coin was slabbed you thought it was a perfect opportunity. Don't be too hard on yourself as any one of us could have done the same thing at the start of our collecting. I hope you can get it resolved to where you are reasonably happy with the coin. At least it isn't a counterfeit! Finally, I hope that this transaction hasn't jaded you or affected your opinion of collecting coins. It is a great rewarding hobby!

BTW, the grading company was only guaranteeing the coin to be authentic, not that it will grade at X grade.
