Can't really see the I's well in your pics but it sure looks like Liz has something over her shoulder.By definition a No Shoulder Fold should have a seemingly bare shoulder.

Check the "I" in "DEI".
If the "I" is flared at the ends its a NSF
No flares on the "I" indicates a shoulder fold.

A serious question
If one can see a shoulder fold how can it not be there?

I am using the wrong terms I guess...I was thinking NSF meant Near Shoulder Fold...

I guess it means No Shoulder Fold.

So I just have a Near Leaf with Shoulder Fold...it is weird because one "I" looks flared and one looks straight.

This may help.

1953 Nickel:

Look at "I" of DEI on the obverse and you the diagram below to make your determination on which it is.

And then use the following pictures to help you determine if it is a near or far leaf.

Far Leaf:

Near Leaf:

I checked the Obverse side and it definitely is the "No Flare" "I"...

So I have a common Near SF...
