Delareece Valued Member Canada 101 Posts	Posted 09/28/2012 12:17 am Hey guys, It's been a long time since I last posted something to this forum, so I thought I'd show off my recent flea market buy. While at a local flea market, I came upon a guys booth who was selling coins. He had an interesting collection, so I browsed for a while. I wasn't planning on purchasing anything, but then I stumbled upon a bag marked "1 Pound Bag of World Coins". This was, essentially, an assortment of random world coins piled into a bag that weighed roughly 1 pound. The price was 5 dollars. So, I thought, what the heck, and spent the 5 dollars. In the bag, I found a total of 80 random world coins, most dated from 1940-1980. I'm fairly sure a few contain some silver content. Heres a couple overhead views of the coins. (Comment if you wish for a close up on a particular coin). View 1: View 2: View 3: Now these 5 I found in the bunch are pre-1900's, except the 1906. I know they are in rough shape, and probably not worth more then a few dollars, but can anyone give me anymore specific information on price? Not sure about price, but I'd say it's worth the same as any other common circulated world coin. The half-crown is unfortunately cupro-nickel. 1947 was the first year off silver for New Zealand. I mostly collect Canadian Coins, but have a World Coin album going on the sidelines. Adds great depth to my collection.
