dooly Valued Member United Kingdom 348 Posts	Posted 02/08/2013 4:39 pm A further look into this coin seems to show a few interesting die markers on both sides The second A in GRATIA seems to be an inverted V it also has a interesting clogged die at the Letter G here is the normal V & A in VICTORIA the reverse is also interesting showing almost circular die cracks to the central field and what seems to be re-punching of the N in CENTS what do you think ? There seems to be a lot of scuffing in that area of the coin and if you look at the foot of the A it almost appears to have been filed away. Of course I have always been considered a bit paranoid and undoubtedly consider things faked until proven wrong. In an industry where a subtle error in coin substantially affects it's value I consider it safe to think that way. Report this Post to the Staff
