Hi everyone. Newbie here.
Proof sets came from the mint unsealed. It's my opinion that they became sealed by humidity or a dishonest seller trying to get a premium for "sealed" envelopes.

I have always had this thought run through my brain. even thought about asking yous guys here.
I have noticed on ebay that different sellers , some would have sealed and some would have open. I bought one at a good price that was open and when it came the first thing I looked at was to see the flap and glue, all looked good. ? ? ?

actually the mint did seal the envelopes, but the glue did not hold on a number of them so thats why many arrived "open".
