I am thinking about purchasing this 1931-S Lincoln Cent. I would like your opinion ! I only need 3 more Lincoln cents to complete my collection. 1909-S VDB, 1914-D, & 1931-S. I am fairly new to this great forum, I value your opinions. Thank you all.   |

mcshilling, sorry these two photos are the only ones the seller has.
I wanted to know if XF 45, graded by PCGS is a solid company, & what it is worth ?

You can go to PCGS and type in the # and it will tell you what you want to know.

Looks like a scratch on reverse . Sorry not a fan . A nice no problem EF-45 can fetch near $100 or more . But IMHO ,not this one .  |

Suggest you find something with better eye appeal - what is your budget amount for a 1931-S Cent?

Agree there is something on the reverse that looks like a scratch. Also, it looks like there might be some sort of discoloration in the right obverse field.  to the CCF! |

Looked on the PCGS website. No photos available. PCGS itself says that this could should go for around $130, but I doubt that based on the reasons listed above.

Coinfrog,Good eye ! I contacted the seller, The scratch is on the case, + there is $ back guarantee.
JimNW, Looking to spend no more than $100.00 on the 1931-S. This one is $80.00, I thought it was a good price ?

never buy the holder...buy the coin and in this case you cant see enough details to determine if it is in fact a solid XF45 without issues. the obverse looks 45 but no way to tell the reverse if the seller cant send you better pics I would move on. there are plenty of these available on the market. |
