australiancoins New Member Australia 2 Posts	Posted 09/07/2020 02:52 am I was looking through an old collection of pennies that I inherited from my Grand-father. They range from 1911 to 1964. Just another project during Covid Isolation. Included are a 1920 and 1925 Penny (which I believe are more valuable than the rest). I would love to know what they are worth and the best way to go about selling them. ryurazu Pillar of the Community Australia 1333 Posts	Posted 09/07/2020 03:55 am Hmm I would says it much low grade, however still quite rare coins can't say much on the 1920 no dot london as haven't had much experience but if I had to ?, the 1925 is about 100 to 170 range more like the lower one due to ware. I will purchase a folder for the coins and pass them onto my kids one day. One further question, what is a Space filler, Token? Obviously it is not a real coin! What is it made of? Nevol Formerly nancyc Australia 5385 Posts	Posted 09/09/2020 8:59 pm Generally speaking a space filler is a coin that you usually would not collect due to its low grade/condition, however some people believe that even a low grade coin is preferable to having a space. I've seen a GB 1930 penny used to fill the 1930 penny space in an Aussie penny collection. (Looked a bit odd). Another one I saw used a cardboard cutout of a 1930 penny. Obviously not a coin, but at least it was the correct form. life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved Report this Post to the Staff
