*sigh*
Back down to ~$58 overnight and now down to ~$57. I'm really hoping it will be back in the 60s when I go to the coin show tomorrow with a bunch of junk silver to unload.

There's a lot of carnage in the markets today, Tesla and Google disappointed in last nights earnings report and are taking down half the market with them this morning.
And in other 'not so good' news, Oil is up $5 to around $91 a barrel as well today, just adding to the slaughter.
Silver is swimming against the tide today but it's not alone.

Quote: There's a lot of carnage in the markets today... And how. Quote: Tesla and Google disappointed in last nights earnings report and are taking down half the market with them this morning. Time to bust them up? Quote: Silver is swimming against the tide today but it's not alone. Ride it out.

Stayed in the ~$57 zone today with a slight upward chop in the afternoon. Night crew, to your marks.

All right, back up to the ~$58 zone overnight. Off to the coin show and hoping for a little more positive action while I'm there...

Today is the last day China cut off (most of it) paper trading to gold, one step closer to stopping gold market manipulation. The Silver Forum

Well, silver tested the ~$59 zone before coming back to ~$58. The markets were mixed. Reset and do it all again next week.

Well, the overnight crew got things back up to the ~$60 zone for a while, but it's now back down to ~$58. Let's see what the new week brings!

Quote: Well, the overnight crew got things back up to the ~$60 zone for a while, but it's now back down to ~$58. Cease-fire and the word "peace" being used again for the 49th time this year, coincidentally just in time for the futures opening on Sunday night. All futures including Silver saw a spike higher last night, that's been fading away pre market Monday morning. It's like the boy that cried Wolf, eventually the village (market) stops responding to the false alarms. And we just go down. Quote: Let's see what the new week brings! In other financial news, the Durable goods orders numbers were released this morning, and they were disappointing. .03 but markets expected 1.8 and previous was -4.3 so the markets are seeing this as Stagflation, not good. The new Fed chief Warsh will announce if there's an interest rate hike or not. Hike is not good. Also earnings season is upon us so those reports will move the markets as well. That's the kind of week to expect

The Night Trader's got Soup. The RTH (day trader's) got "no soup for you", come back next year. Today's market open was brought to you by Dewey, Cheatem and Howe.

The indexes are turning negative now, most are in the red.
The only reason I'm up +5.41% so far this morning is because I'm short in about 5 positions and they're taking a dump today. Unfortunately I closed 2 of my short positions on Friday thinking we'd get a reversal today. Otherwise I'd be up more.
I don't have any paper positions at all right now in Silver or Gold, except for 1 mining company I'm speculating in.
