My Lincoln Cent Journey In A Dansco Album

Well, it wasn't supposed to be a hassle but is sort of. Lol. Still waiting on the darn return labels.

In other news, I am looking at possibly purchasing a 1914-D currently on ebay.
Question for you guys, if you are gonna spend at least 200 dollars, would you
opt for a graded and slabbed coin, as opposed to a raw one? There's a seller
that has one in pretty good shape that I've used before, but it's raw. It's in VG and
is around 230 dollars.

I'm hesitant to pay that much for a coin that isn't officially graded, though.

Ebay? Graded. Coin show? I could buy raw in the right circumstances. My 1914-D LWC was purchased raw at a coin show.

You should be, even if graded. You need to feel comfortable making the purchase. Full stop.

Yeahh, I should have taken my own advice!

I've had my eye on this coin all week since I was pretty excited that it was a 1914-D and it was only around 220 dollars. Most slabbed 1914-D coins I see run in the range from 250-350 or more it seems.

Well, I opted to buy it. One more Lincoln Cent under my belt.
Now, the kicker is, at least for some, it was "environmental damage," which is probably why it was 220 dollars. Keep in mind, for me, that's still a lot of money! Lol.

Honestly, I do like the way the coin looks though and I'm not really necessarily seeing anything that jumps out at me in terms of "damage." I personally think it's a pretty attractive coin and has VG details.

After this, the only expensive coin in the Lincoln Cent series that I'll have left to get is that pesky 70-S small date! I think after that, I will keep it on the cheap side of things and upgrade some coins here and there to BU. My Roosevelt series has taken the majority of my coin budget in recent times.
